I graduated from Lenoir-Rhyne University in 2023 with a masters in clinical mental health counseling. After graduating, I provided group and individual counseling for a residential treatment center before transitioning to private practice. I am a member of the American Counseling Association and a Nationally Certified Counselor and hold licensure in the state of North Carolina.
I describe myself as a deeply humanist narrative therapist. I find that acceptance and commitment therapy helps me translate concepts into concrete actions clients can take. I have experience providing psychoeducation and coaching to groups from 5 to 40 people across diverse backgrounds. I want to work with weirdos, people who don't know they're weirdos, and people who don't want others to find out they're weirdos.
A proud nerd. I have 3 cats and a dog, most of whom are named after food. I play Dungeons and Dragons every Tuesday night, religiously, and I love Star Trek and the Discworld series. I've been a vegetarian since I was 18 and I love animals. In the summer, I enjoy being in a body of water, clumsily trying to garden, and patiently asking my ADHD to let me read outside.
